Rusch Catheter Supplies

Rusch manufactures a complete line of urological supplies, from external catheters to both straight tipped and coude tipped intermittent catheters. Rusch's Golden-Drain external condom catheter comes with a cup that prevents twisting and is made of lightweight latex. The Golden-Drain catheter is packaged in bulk and does not come with adhesive straps. Rusch also manufactures female catheters that have easy drainage and are color-coded for size identification.

Intermittent catheters are sterile, all-purpose devices temporarily inserted into the bladder and removed once its empty. Intermittent catheters are considered an effective way of managing urinary retention or incontinence if they have a neuropathic or hyptonic bladder. Texas catheters are external condom catheters using a three-piece system that includes a thin latex sheath, a white silicone tube and a plastic insert. The sheath prevents pooled urine from pooling and damaging the shaft skin.

Hydrophilic self-lubricated catheters aim to reduce friction. Some catheters come pre-lubricated and they are used by both men and women. Lubricated catheters reduce the risk of damaging the urethra and urinary tract. Foley catheters are indwelling catheters inserted through the urethra and into the bladder to easily drain urine. The Rusch Gold silicone-coated latex Foley catheter provides a soft, smooth flexible surface to ease the catheterization process and allow for a greater wear time.
